Update
Got an Antec Earthwatts 500W for a freebie, might use it for this build if it shapes up. Plus it's free, so I can mess around with it, like voiding the warranty.
PSU Outside
That screw confused me for so long... I got rid of the 3 others, but couldn't get the cover off, so I messed around with it until I finally realized that there must be a screw hidden under the warranty sticker.
PSU Insides
Now this is where I got confused. Why is there plastic in the PSU? Wouldn't it mess with the heat transfer and everything?
For a second I got all excited, because the thing in the bottom right looked like a three pin fan connector, so I was all like "I can replace this crappy fan! Woo!" However, the connector won't come off under a little pressure, and I'm afraid of ripping something, so I didn't decide to try any harder.
I was thinking of painting the PSU, replacing the fans, and putting some LEDs in there too, but it looks like the plastic is somehow keeping the entire card thing stuck to the PSU box. I can't remove anything. So that means no painting, and I can't remove the fan either. I might be able to stick a couple of LEDs in though...
24-pin Sleeving
When I was messing with the PSU, the end of the sleeving for the 24-pin conneconnector fell out. (The only connector on the PSU that is sleeved.) Apparently, Antec hadn't connected the end of the sleeving to anything, and it was simply stuffed into the case, and only fortune had kept the sleeving inside for so long. I decided to remove the sleeving, since it already had some holes in it (Probably from last owner) and wasn't really making the PSU look any better.
Well, there concludes my journey into the mysteries of PSUs... Didn't accomplish much. Luckily, my PSU still works.
Fun fact: RAIDMAX 80mm Fans blow more air than their 120mm fans, although the 80mm fans are louder... I can actually hear it, while the 120mm fans are silent...
