Update (finally)

So when I last left you I had mocked up the top blowhole and one of the front fan holes. since then I cut both of those and got my mobo panel mocked up. Proof you say? Well here it goeeeeessss!
*Btw, I'll repost the two previous pics, so when I link the update, it will be simpler lol*

One of two front 120mm fans that will be in here. These will eventually be red LED fans and give those 'slots' on the bezel a nice menacing glow!

BAM! Cut out baby! I still need to dolly out the metal a little, it got bent somewhat during cutting.

The top hole mocked up.

Needed to take just a bit off those corners. Now, only two of the fan screws will attach, those at the right side. I knew this ahead of cutting, there just wasn't enough metal on the raised area (to the left) to get screws onto. Those two holes will most likely end up getting a zip tie on them if I don't think of anything better.

Trimmed up

Now this Cd cage is larger than current standards. The old Cd drives were much longer than new drives. This larger cage was going to hit the mobo when I move the mobo panel up behind them. So I needed to trim a little weight off of it to keep it from getting in the way. I still have to test fit my MSI board and a drive to make sure there won't be any complications as assembly time.

A little diet plan did it well! Just enough left to get screws in the back slots as well!

This is an old (dead) 478 board I'm using for temporary mock up purposes. I salvaged the I/O panel from another case I had and (to my surprise) it fit's perfectly with the mobo panel for this case! I'm -really- happy to see this, the I/O panel was one of my biggest worries. I'll have it riveted in this week as soon as I can test fit my actual motherboard and make sure I don't need to tweak anything.

At least I got something done over the weekend guys!
