Update:

I got bored after spending ~30 minutes scoring the Acrylic and showing no results. I ended up using my 12tpi wood cutting blade and cut the acrylic piece out.

Protection

Didn't have access to a respirator. I thought using a dust mask would be good enough. I only spent ~2 minutes cutting the acrylic anyways, and it stayed ridiculously cool during that time since I was pouring water on it, don't know if that was a good or bad thing...

Acrylic Piece

Turned out pretty nice. At the last minute, I was about to cut the piece out, but the acrylic snapped, leaving a little indent. I filed it down though, but it's not entirely straight. I'll have to sand it down and such later.

Scratch

During my last score, I accidentally went off the line and cut into the acrylic. I'll have to sand the entire sheet down so the scratch doesn't show.

Anyone know how to polish acrylic? What tools do I use?

This is probably the last update for this project until August. I'm leaving for summer camp (Gasp) on Sunday and probably won't get much done tomorrow.
