Day 9

so i said that my dremel died thus i went out and got myself some new toys. 4 clamps and one new rotozip. but when i got home, i found out that my dremel had only overheated. instead of going back and returning my new toy. i opened it up and went to work and DANG! that thing works soo much faster and better. cut through that aluminum 10x faster than i would have with my dremel. i'm in love with it already.

after cutting, i started sanding and grinding. in the picture it looks decently straight but when i'm up close. it bugs the crap out of me so more sanding/grinding we go. but i got tooo zealous and my hand slipped and i kind of scratched an area as you can see. its the bottom line that is sticking out. anyone know how i can fix this? would a little polish work?

here is a close up of the scuff. its not deep but yea... help please!

well, now i'm just waiting for my gpu block today and then leak testing we go!

edit1: i got my gpu block! here it is just out of the box! looks freaking sexy. i had a problem with the screws last time, i think i mentioned that but i can't really recall. anyway, time to clean the beaut.

here are my buckets, one filled with distilled/vinegar mixture and the other with just distilled.

after taking it apart, even the the inside is beautiful.

and into the bucket it goes to soak for a few minutes. then into the other bucket it goes for a some minutes too. then i emptied the bucket and added fresh distilled into to get rid of even more of the vinegar.

and here it is, all nice and clean waiting to dry then after that, i'll be setting up the loops tomorrow when i get my new tubings tomorrow from sidewinders. so we'll be in for a fun filled day tomorrow!

edit2:
here is a mock setup with stuff inside. on the backside there is going to be a DD acetal t- with a fillport for emptying the loop when needed. makes life simpler you know?

and just for the heck of it, the weather outside my apartment. would you believe me if i said it was snowing? its very sunny outside as this is happening, i kind of covered the lens cause the sun was in the way. its just a random thunder storm.
