Day 16
so!!!! like i said in the previous post, the side panel is finally, finally done! i'd say i'm around 90% done with this build. i'm just waiting on a few things then it'll be complete.
so here is the acrylic and the panel smushed together by the clamps and as you can see the tags are still there. haha.. what you see is the pilot holes.

after all the drilling, i counter suck the front to get rid of the burrs and to make it look nice just in case i decide to use something else to hold the panel and acrylic together.

even though i countersunk the holes, i didn't need to cause i am using these hex screw caps to attempt to give it a factory look.

and in the back, it'll be secured by these nuts.

and i just started peeling off the blue tape and protective sheet. look how pretty it is! and thats the reflection of my ceiling.

the back of the panel with acrylic attached and my slightly glove covered hand so i wouldn't leave smudges..

and here is the front! i personally think my camera sucks so you can't see it that well. but it loooks really good, aside from that damn scratch i caused.

my god! it somehow got back on to the rig!!!

but

it looks soo good. i want to hug it and never let go!

i tried taking a close up shot of the screw caps and panel but that apparently didn't work out too well

its a no flash shot but its still not bright enough so you can't see in enough. BUT no worries, i'll have my LEDs tomorrow and i'll be modding some more to add lighting within. then it'll be good!

and a frontal shot of the side panel, again still reflects way too much cause the inside isn't bright enough but that'll be corrected sometime tomorrow.
so stick around yea? i promise, well... i'll try to make it look really really good so i can keep you guys interested in this build.
oh yes, i wanted to ask you guys something. my build got rid of some aesthetic areas because i wanted to be all within the rig. i'm talking that ugly thing sticking out of the back.. yeap.. the psu... should i move that out as an external psu? and add the back with two 80mm intake fans? if i do take out the psu, i'd put it onto something like a stand so it looks aesthetically pleasing. i'd like to hear your comments on it!
