Day 17
so after my whole mobo thing, i got with dell and they sent me a new one the next day. switched it out and all is good. but i did notice somethinga bout the NB heatsink. my first one had the foxconn logo on it and this time. they sanded off the foxconn logo. heheh.

i just find it funny. cause there are still stickers saying its a foxconn mobo.

and here it is with everything in! yea.. i know this isn't my project rig but i don't mind.

anyways on to whats important to you guys. valkyrie. here is a design i made for the led scheme. i went through quite a few revisions of how many leds and where to place them. there will be 3 white leds, 3 pink leds, and 4 uv leds.

and here is my victim. my ocz memory cooler. there will be no fans cause i like switching lights on and off.

i cut off the tabs in the back and got to work with some sheet metal and a L bar.

here it is next to the original design sheet with pilot holes drilled. i won't be drilling it again until i get the LED holders so i know how big of a hole i actually need to drill.

a perfect fit into the memory cooler!

no need for screws on the side like i thought i would need.

and the front of it. i hope this lights up as well as i think it will.. haha... thanks again guys!

here is a picture of my power supply that i was talking . see how it extends out? i've mentioned that i'm getting a ps extender from iandh. do you guys think this looks horrible? and if you do, should i just make a small tower for my psu?
so stayed tuned for the finished led module and the extra gpu.
