Day 19

here is my new 8800GT. yeap another one for folding since i have an extra pcie slot. sorry for the sideways picture. forgot to rotate it.

here is the 2nd dtek gfx v2. its soooooo beautiful!!

here are my custom wirings. yellow and orange sleeving. this one is wip 8 pin espv whatever it is...

then we have a home made pcie cable notice the bend on the left. it'll look awesome when it gets all plugged in. it'll have the same stripe effect as my sata cables

here is the completed 8 pin blah blah blah... haha.. sorry.. i could never remember what letters and in what order it was used.. so yea..

here is the 24pin atx extender... i was thinking abotu making a fresh one but... how the wires would go and which ones actually crossed over and stuff was just... not my thing at the moment... maybe after summer is over.. i'll do another one with yellow and purple sleeving and the purple would be uv reactive but for now, this will do.

after i got my new connectors, i switched out the black ones with uv reactive ones this is the 8pin one again.

my pcie ones get a uv red one.

the 24pin also gets a uv green. i would've gotten all uv red... BUT they didn't have it... or maybe i can buy some blue ones instead. hmm.... oh. yes.. i got these connectors from p-pcs.com aka performonce pcs

here is my loop with 3 blocks.. yea.. i know its a bit overkill for my one 360gtx.. but we'll see how that works out now won't we?

here it is all lit up

another one with only uv on

then just white leds... dang.. i how i wish my led module was done.. RAWR!

then pure in the dark shot with only UV... hmmm.. the UV red doesn't seem to be that reactive.. maybe the blue ones would react better... but the yellow does react quite alot doesn't it?

another shot with both uv and leds on.

just LED and its pretty dark.. the fluid in the res was actually giving off a red tint instead of purple was really interesting... well the purple is actually black but just me not using alot of it so its a nice looking purple.

close up shot of the new SATA power cables.

close up shot of the pcie connector cable.

and another close up shot but of the 24pin atx.

and for this.. i tried to get a close up shot but camera wouldn't let me get it focused... sorry guys..

so i started folding with my new loop..... and mytemps became.... as high as 62... thats a bit too high for me.. considering i have set my shutdown temp at 65C.... yea.. so its cutting it close... OH YEA!!! i forgot to mention the day i was going to redo my loop. i busted a leak.. the tube on the ddc top popped off and started spraying everwhere.. but nothing is dead...well.. actually.. my old 8800gt is dead.. but i have no idea how. but yea... that is going to get rma'd... anyway... so i got new barbs... bitspower/dd fatboys.. they are friggin awesome! much better than the d-tek highflows i have.. but if any one has preference of the d-tek high flows.. i have around 12-16 of them for sale now..

anyway... so the temps are too high for my comfort. so i took apart the loop again and this time. i changed it back to cpu and 1 gpu block. and my temps are really nice or more like back to normal. and for the 8800gt that is dead that is going to get rma'd? i'm using to make sure that it fits with a duorb like i was talking about with nate. and it does fit.. thank god! if it didn't, i would have no idea what to do cause that stock cooler was ridiculously loud!

and here is the picture of the reset up loop... the loop is actually different than the first time i did it... the order was....

res-pump ->rad ->ddcpump ->cpu -> gpu

this time its..

res-pump ->rad -> cpu ->ddcpump -> gpu

and it looks much better than it did the first time.. well thats my opinion! do tell me yours too!!! not only that, no tubing is touching each other this time too!

here it is lit up. i actually didn't want the duorb in there before because of the lights but after getting some help from adrienspawn, i took some spray paint, newspaper, exacto knife, and an atx tool to dab paint into the holes where the led shines out.. and now it only gives off a dim blue instead of a blinding one. and i find that it looks much better this way.

i close up shot of the razer barracuda and the duorb... close huh between the two? but as you can tell, its much dimmer than a normal one.. i have another one in a different rig. if you want to see a comparison shot. i'll take one and show you guys too but only if you guys want to see the differenc will i do it. :P

and a final shot with the mirror acrylic on to see how much shows through.. and not alot with the paint! and that is the end of this crazy week.

@repo: i was stripping soo much... (no, not in that way! get your minds out of the gutter!) so yea.. that one handed wire stripper saved my behind like no other! thanks man!

and as for what i'm going to do with that extra dtek gfx? i think i'm going to do another bulid but with an htpc... maybe i can water that one.. oh that would be soooo fun! i have a dtek fuzion v2 too.. cause i wasn't sure which cpu block i was going to use but i went with the enzotech so yea.. that leaves me with an extra option of making another rig.. for more folding! or just to watch lots of movies on. hahah.

oh yea, so you know how i have to RMA my other 8800gt? well... i bought another one to replace it.. yea.. *** right? but this then leaves me with an extra 8800gt for that new project i'll be having!
