Alright, a lot got done the past two days..

Started things off with the drive bay cover.

Measure twice, cut once right?

Wrong. This is the fitting version, the one I didn't snap a photo of was half an inch short for some reason.

One piece for the back, and one for the drive bays.

Oh man it's gonna be tight..

I had about this much to spare.

Cut out some cardboard to make sure my measurements were right..

The cut pieces.

While I pondered how to go about the drive bay mesh, I got working on the mobo tray.

Primed and set up to dry with my box under it in case it fell.

While I waited on that to try, got around to helping my dad. This is our bus turned motorhome, this is the vinyl that's going on the back of the bus.

First layer of flat black, you can still see the greenish hue of the primer.

Remember that piece I said I miscut? I found good use for it..

Sandwiched the mesh.

Then bent it down and hammered it around the piece of wood I had cut.

It fits! I was surprised, I thought I would have to go through a whole lot of hell to get this to fit. I'm going to have to put some sort of filter between this and the fan though.

Since neither I nor my father can weld great, I got a metal specialist next door to do me the favor. Solid like hell.

Looks clean too!

Drilled the holes for the fan. I have replaced my least favorite task this mod from the u-channel to the hole drilling. This set asn't so bad, but when I got to the back mesh..

Looks good with the cover on!

After half an hour of toiling over this, I got one fan in. Sadly 92mm fans wouldn't work as they would be too tall, and if I cut the hole any less wide, it would have looked awkward.

Two fans. Photos make it look easy. When I drilled the top 2 holes I had to go into the metal of the case, and it seems I made the holes a bit too big for the screws to catch so I will have to use two washers there.

Figuring out the front fan..

How it looks with the window there.

Since I had to ditch the hard drive bay (It's unnecessary and interferred with my front bottom fan anyways) I had to figure out a new way to fit the HDD.

So for the wires I decided to cut out from the back. Will look nice and clean

Using the dremel with sand-blades, no wonder they give you 50 blades per pack, I wore through 6 of them just to cut this piece.

I will be putting a SATA drive in, so more clearance, but this was all I had at the time for measuring..

2ft x 3ft for $30.

The cut. Little did I know how much of a mess acrylic makes. I was spitting out plastic for an hour after this.

Sanding the PCI covers for primer.

Here's how the fan is gonna go on. I cut the L-brackets short where it attaches to the fan so you can't see it from the outside.

5 black PCI covers

The window cut and fitted.

Fan mounted. When I paint the case I will remove the fan and paint the brackets right with everything else.

And that's it for today. Tomorrow I hope to paint the interior of the case. I'm pretty sure I covered all the cut jobs.
