And you gets.
I sorted out the alignment issues I was unhappy with today after work. The major problem I discovered was the extra thickness of the doubled over edges on the side panels I used. I actually took some progress shots this time. Remedying that problem was a real pain.
First, I had to carefully carve out some material along the very edge of the panel where the fold was:
I had to be real careful, one slip and I would mar the visible surface:
After that, I carefully pried up the edge, being careful not to bend the panel with leverage pressure:
I finished it up with my trusty (and rusty) hand seamer. A little wiggle and the offending flap came free:
The resulting edge was far from ready though:
Filed it to a feathered edge:
After some careful sanding, the result was a nice clean edge:
After that, I just took a bunch of glamour shots in the dark with a flash.
One thing I forgot to show you was how the front edge of the panel is mounted. I had to drill access holes in the frame, kinda like the PCI slots holes on a Silverstone:
The rest of these are just gratuitous goofing off with the camera:
My photobucket pro account is about to expire, and they want way too much to renew it. I figure I might as well push the envelope and see if I really need it.
That's all for tonight folks.
