Shiryu, I even gave it a day to think it over; and I can't figure out what you're talking about. Thanks though!

Mini update today, mostly to show the wifey (out of town) what I've been up to. Happy Valentines Day baby!

I finished the first two pieces of the new rad frame. The 2mm thick aluminum is proving to be harder to bend, but much easier to work with:

This time around, I allowed for access to the 5.25 bay screws. These slots will be covered by the trim panel, but at least that's the only thing that will need to be removed to get at the drive bays:

Everything fit better this time than the last time:

Those little holes cut out to allow for the front bezel clips are perfect. The friction fit they create allows the pieces to stand in place without even holding them.

In the last pic, you might have noticed something else I've been toying with:

I got a wild hair, and thought: you know, just because it's a sleeper on the outside, doesn't mean it has to be on the inside. (for the wife, this is what all the sanding has been about )

I'm not totally sold on the polished look though. Granted, 95% of it will be covered up 99% of the time, but I'm still waffling on it.

Hrm.
