Well, I got the pump frame remade, and it works this time. I also remembered a fan mount this time. I have NO idea how I forgot that the last time. The tray and fan mount are all one piece. That was tricky, and I didn't get any progress shots, sorry.

I was busy concentrating.

Here's some shots of me test fitting after I got it all bent:

These channels were to allow for the motherboard tray mounting hardware:

This hole is to clear a captive nut that holds the stand off for the trim cover over the top section:

After the test fit, I clamped down the mobo tray side and drilled through both pieces. Then, I pulled the tray out and installed my captive nuts. Then I bolted it into place, and repeated the clamping > drilling process on the other side. That helped me make sure I got everything aligned properly.

I used spare Lian Li HD grommets in the frame members to help with vibrations:

The ones on the mobo tray rail might cause clearance issues later, I'm not sure. I mounted them as high as I could. Worst case scenario I need to trim the mobo tray a touch.

The alignment came out nicely:

And that concludes the major engineering stuff for this mod, I hope. All in all, I am pleased.

Once the trim panels are re-installed to flush everything up, peripheral component heat should end up nicely isolated from the mainboard, and more importantly, all should stay isolated from the rads.

Tons of stuff left to do, but now I can start to concentrate on the details.
