Greenie-poo - Day 09 - feet holes and sanding/polishing begins
yes, a rare sunday modding session. after Jessie was picked up I was in the mood to mod, not to mention we are about to get pounded with snow so I can drink afew beers and stay up later than a normal Sunday night, because I will be working from home tomr
Anyway, marked off the spots for the acrylic feet which have green led insets. They require alarger than normal hole due to the housing size to accept the led from inside the case

taped off the holes and dug out a beefy drill bit as far as case feet go (5/16"). Did I mention I love the drill press?

after drill-outs, test fit

I think now all drilling and cutting is done (afaik) so it was time to enter the realm of Syrillian Meditation, busted out my sandpaper grits (180,220,240,320,400,600,800,1000,1500,2000) and prepared for arm aching work. Now I know how Syrillian got those awesome guns!

wore the paint respirator during this work, to avoid breathing in the fine particles created by sanding

after some testing with 320 to 400 I realized its easier to knock down the saw marks first with a dremel orange stone, then rack the piece with 220, then 400. That technique left it silky. Ill probably pass some 600 on the parts too, before jewler's rouging them

if I get snowed in tomr I will try and intersperse some sanding work with coding work
thanks for watching
