The frame has been broken down so I can get the joining plates ready for powder coat this weekend.
I did get some practice with rouging. I am gonna skip the orange stone that comes with the Dremel. I tried it. Not impressed. It galls up and pits the crap out of the acrylic. I spent too much time sanding out the nasties.
Here is where my friends, The Bastard and good ole 2nd Cut comes in. I wasn't looking for much out of my trusty files, but boy was I amazed. The Bastard made the sides cloudy, and the 2nd Cut damn near had it ready for the rouge, I kid you not. I did still use 240 grit emery cloth, followed by some 500 grit. This made it very easy to polish, and took a quarter of the time it took with the orange stone. Just a heads up to give your trusty files a try, you might like it better than the Dremel stone.
It isn't perfect, but it's a close as I wanted to get on a piece of scrap lexan:
