I know you like that idea Naf, I just don't like the extra tubing it involves in the main case part. Its purely a vanity thing. I just don't like the way it looks.

I might give the other notion a try though. That will look pretty much identical. We'll see. The closer I get to putting the sides on this thing, the less and less I want to mess with it. I think that's probably a good thing.

In other news, I decided to play a little hooky from work this afternoon, and got some more stuff done.

Remember the temp sensors?

I got them all wired up. Power was easy, I wired the pump's 12V to a female molex and used the empty 5V slots for the displays. That molex plugs directly into the PSU.

For the leads to the sensors themselves, I didn't want to hard wire them direct, so its easier to swap one out in the future if either a display or a sensor fails. So, I soldered a two pin mini connector onto each sensor lead:

To recap, one sensor is taking water temp from the res, one from down below in between the front and bottom rads. I also have two for air, and decided to just use BP sensors there too, for well, no real reason. Satisfaction of my OCD maybe?

Anywho, one is supposed to be reading my "air in" temp, or a reasonable approximation of ambient. I have that tucked in the front cavity, mounted here:

The other is getting a case ambient, in the motherboard compartment. That's mounted here:

Not sure I'm happy with that mount, but it works for now.

And... the result. This is after running F@H for about 30 mins, but with no real stress on the CPU:

What you're looking at from top left is water temp at rads, water temp at res, air temp as it enters case, air temp inside case. The case temp is not really applicable at the moment, since I don't have the side on, but all in all, not a bad air to water temp variance.

I'm anxious to see how it does after I throw another 260 in there.
