Butcher's Hook - Day 15 - hook mount assembly
went to hw store to see the deal. found some clever stuff, 2 1/8" x 4" L brackets, a few washers, and a 5/16 bolt and nut

experimented and measured with all the stuff (became a mini project)

started test fabricating

f-it, lets cook...

time to cut the brackets, zinc plated, used the paint respirator (zinc dust is lethal)

clang

after too much work, theres the hook hangers

test clamped

ok, so lets place them permanent style

marked off drill points for two holes with a sharpie

had to set up a classic cattle contraption to drill the first two holes with everything still assembled (anticipated)

scored drilled points with a 17/64

brought frame to drill press to drill out first two holes

there they are

T.A.P.S. um, I mean, tapped!

tested with 1/4-20 bad-ass allen sockets (black oxide)

halfway home - teh woot

drilled out the second set of holes

test mount

ran out of time (that stuff took literally all day) so next time I will tap remaining holes and continue with the rest of the stuff I have to make
thanks for watching
