Butcher's Hook - Day 15.2 - trolley rail fix
staying true to self, and with many thanks to CyberDruid for giving me the kick in my ass that I needed ("dude, youre better than that!"), I took off the abomination of a trolley rail to do some repairs

unhooked

clamped

did some swirl welds (never tried this before mind you)
first pass not too bad

second pass filled them in

flipped the rail

cook b*tches!

holy moly

, needs more cooking

kissed it good night to go drum my ass of for an hour

after drumming I had this little task calling my name, time to swap the 280 for the 285
(normally an upgrade from 280 to 285 would be stupid, but in my case the upgrade came from a 260 step up from EVGA, so I went for it)

theres the original 280 setup

extracted

needed to revert back to 6-6pcie, from 6-8 (me likes power savings)

ran the cables thru

theres my closet in my office, you wouldnt believe whats in there. If I told you you'd poop, but that mess includes a GK bass head and cabnet (400W) an Ibanez bass, and acoustic, and a pos elec guitar, and a full synthesizer setup, not to mention recording equipment and 9000 pc parts etc

not bad for a lil closet

ok enuf distraction, here's the 285

inserted and wired

case leftside wires incase anyone asks

boot-ya! not dead card :shwew:

I havent run wall paper in like 8+ years, recently I made my wallpaper the ocn logo
think I love this place much?

next time on Hook I will grind out the welds and see what we have
thanks again to CD for smacking me back into reality
