Butcher's Hook - Day 19 - star continues
back to the grind. sorry for bad pun, but I needed to grind the edges in to 30d. after doing this rod, I switched to a new disk which was amazingly faster, then I tried using a thinner disk and cutting the rods like a dremel, which was awesome, until I realized the round bolt that holds the disk on wasnt touching the disk

I switched back to medium grind disk and finished the rods

clamped for welding

two tacks

pried into place and held it down with wood to protect my hands from 2800F temps

tacked

flipped and tacked

after it cooled, I stacked it on the other triangle from the other day

thats a pic down thru two triangles, checking for consistency

just an eyeballed rotate of approx 40d (caught a slight wood here)

sanity check. both triangles and my test piece, just to see for myself if I am up the wrong tree or if I am doing things right
its looking right

next time ill do the other triangle, then full weld them all, then its jig and cut time for these
thanks for watching
