Tech Bench - Day 04 - screw holes and drillouts
got ready to score thru the side panels so I could drill out the bottom and mid platforms

after the first one

drilled out (sorry blurry)

screwed together

did the same on the other side, and screwed them together

hod to do the mid platform - I knew those weak ass 90d clamps would come in handy one day

the bottom panel depth was 1/16" or so long, so I needed some shims as I worked this part out

after getting one set of screws done for the mid-platform, I flipped her and did the rest

test fit

test fit a fan

instead of unwinding 14 1.25" screws by hand I checked my box of tricks to see if I had a 3/32 hex drive
win (unbolted the sucker in about a minute, as opposed to 10 mins)

used the dfi mobo to score off standoff holes

pre-drill scores

drilled them out 7/64 then screwed in some brass standoffs for a test fit

mobo mounted, all ok

marked off the areas that will be for cm openings and loaded whatever that thing is called... spade bit? lol w/e

began a cut-fest

booyah

next session Ill connect the dots on the ergonomic cutouts
thanks for watching
