Tech Bench - Day 08 - tweaks and start prime
11 am started reassembling the case - again!
realized I need it setup to properly do the back pci bracket
after I had it setup and had some food I came back, this song came on
this song has been grwing on me - it woke me the F up
extended the pci slot (thanks Mike)
needed to extend the notches for the lid
cut it out with a dremel and re-tested
now it swings over past 180d
needed to make the strip for the pci bracket
45 mins later first piece cut (12x5/8)
after cutting the 6" extension I had two pieces
test fit
clamped them on the beefy clamp
even tho I lowered the amps and tested on some exact material, when I welded the edges I blew right thru them, except for the center, but thats fine. Ill grind it down and fill it in with fiberglass filler before paint
not to mention it was strong and structurally sound
scored for the bends and center punched for the screw holes
first bend. I had visions of Warfarin88 during this step. btw, anyone seen or heard from Warf?

used the holes to score and drill out the holes
began disassembly (lets hope finally)(yeah I painted only the visible parts of the brackets

I took this shot to show something... see the left edge? see how it looks smooth and isnt drinking primer? that spot has fiberglass filler in it. you can see how it looks compared to the plain mdf edges

primed both sides of all panels and put em to bed
on sunday I have two hours available to work so I will either work on this (paint) or get som Hook done. havent decided, but either way
