Butcher's Hook - Day 26 - trolley remake, twice!
there's the f-up from last time (bottom piece welded up and in, instead of down and under)

needed to grind out the welds to see if dremel cuts would be feasible or not

after grinding I said hell with it and threw it on the chop saw

first cut

flipped it over

blam

the chop saw was sickeningly disgusting, its been needing a new blade, so I swapped out
looks like a 33.3 rpm vinyl record, no? lol (wiggy wiggy - scratch)

ground out around the salvaged part

after assessing the part cut off I realized it could be salvaged also, just needed some clean up grinding

went thru all of the motions again only to weld the f-ing thing back on again in the wrong f-position!!!! Thats what I get for talking to the dudes from DEP while clamping parts. luckily it was only tacks, so I was able to clear it in a few mins

OK - is the f-ing thing UNDER the down rail??? Yes I think it is this time QUICK TACK IT BEFORE I SHIFT IT UP AGAIN

YAY, f-ing finally.
weld the back before it moves to the wrong spot again

on the inside I realized it just needs good end tacks and not a full bead, plus it will let the head of the hook clear all around without grinding the hook head

set up for 2nd tack

part before cleaning

after I cleaned it up, I test fit

get back!
win
