Butcher's Hook - Day 27 - switch plate and other stuff

decided to do a weight test on my trolley

setup for switch plate cuts





basic shape

setup to blast out scre holes and pilots for holesaw



lets bend



holesaw time for the bulgin's



what better to align odd shXt in steel than with a magnet?



marked the holes and readied to drill with the 90 attachment

after drill outs, time to tap





test fit



couple of things needed doing

wanted to 45 trim the plate eyelet



score the back so when stuff is chromed I dont have to worry about whats up/down/back/front etc (a few parts will have this marking)

re-test-fit

thought better of my declaration that two little inside beads were ok for the trolley bottom part, f-that, weld time

globs of mess

cut it close on that stick eh?

time to trim the hook head







much better height clearance and the back of the hook clears the weld bead (the weld bead was massively grinded and cleaned up but no pic like a dumbeth-arse)



thar she blows!

a couple more small things to do (aside from star which I think is covered by Samfreese)
