Butcher's Hook - Day 33 - slipknot in chains
before we get to the hook, I had some stuff shipped

two filter right fan filters, and a 120 kaze

to go with this Megahalem cooler, all for my sig rig in my tech bench

ok, anyway, back to hook
stopped at home depot to get supplies. picked up 2 flap discs (40 grit and 60 grit) and a pair of grinding discs, just to have on hand to grind various welds that may occur out of nowhere

. Also I picked up 10' of chain

set up to flap out the frame

flap disks are my new favorite tool

after flap action I began experimenting with the chain

building on the idea of straightening the mobo via chains and realizing that 9 (NINE) links on each side would do it almost perfectly, I decided to cut off two sets of 9 links. The Nine being important, why?

used the angle grinder cut off disk to cut the next link like butter, in 3.2 seconds

the first 9

after the second 9 I tried my hand at art, draping chains over the alu test star from Sam
(I know, stick to case modding, enough with the "art")

used the two 9 link sections of chain to test mobo hang action

at this point im thinking its doable, just need to make some tabs that screw in with the outter star scres and hold the chains. about 1/4" back off the star center will leave the mobo perfectly angled

these are just cameo silly pics...

tomr ill make some tabs that connect to the star mounts, and allow the chains to drape a shade further back, allowing the mobo plaet to stand straight and level in all directions
thanks for watching
(can I ask what the hell this new OCN image resizing BS is!!!??)
