First, the general details:
Motherboard: ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe
RAID Controller: ULi M1575 (onboard)
1 to 4 Western Digital WD2500 250GB 16MB cache hard drive(s)
Cluster size: 64k
Stripe size: 16k for all RAID set ups.

Here are the CPU-Z screenshots; same for all test runs. Note: everything is at default settings, no changes made for fair comparison. Stock clock speeds, fresh install of Windows, and a 100GB partition (C for each test situation.

This information will be used for a FAQ about RAID speed improvements.

1) Single disk: 162.9 burst, 55.6 average read.

2) Two disks, RAID0: 294.7 burst, 107.6 average read

3) Three disks, RAID5: 257.4 burst, 99.6 average read

4) Four disks, RAID5: 323.9 burst, 134.8 average read

5) Four disks, RAID0+1: 304.6 burst, 110.6 average read

6) Four disks, JBOD: 171.7 burst, 55.8 average read. Interesting graph, seems like it does the four disks one by one.

7) Four disks, RAID0: 334.3 burst, 216.9 average read.

Sorry to keep you busy NCSA
