Ceadder's_Overclock.net Blog Entry II
Hey people... back again. Well today was a good day. I got to watch an unboxing of the MoBo I'm getting, on YouTube. It's actually rather funny. Even n00bs will feel smarter after watching it. I’ve posted YouTube link at the bottom. Once I get everything together I am going to do my build while recording on my ASUS Netbook and then my new MS LifeCam(listed)that way you guys will all see from beginning to a running system. Due to being a disenfranchised consumer, I have changed my system list to reflect my disapproval of CoolerMaster as well. I wanted a strictly air-cooled School/OC rig. However, I’ve dumped CM’s V10 CPU cooler in favor of the Corsair rig. Because for the price($80), you can’t beat it.

Since I no longer support the company, it would be hypocritical for me to promote it. I’m only using it because I paid nearly $200 for it and can’t afford something else. It is roomy and will hold most every piece of equipment you can possibly think of. But if you need their assistance for any reason, they don’t follow up in a reasonable time frame and make promises they don’t care to keep. I have 14 years of customer service experience in the public sector. You cannot run a company like that and expect to remain on top. It just isn’t possible.

Okay now that this is all up to date I should point out that I’m participating in the MS Office 2010 Beta program. I’ve got the MS Home and Office pack which contains (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, OneNote and contains Office Picture Manager in Tools) I’m primarily testing Word, as it is what I use most right now and have experience using from ’95 to ’07 versions. So far I have to say that this latest rendition is by far and away the best I have used. It’s intuitive, you can cut and paste in two modes, instead of having to leave your work once you’ve highlighted it you can either wait a second or so for the editing options appear above the highlight or you can right click and it appears off to the right of your pointer. In fact I put this entire blog together using Word ’10. I’m really enjoying the functionality of it. I will be keeping everyone up to date should any issues arise other than the compatibility issue with prior versions. So far the only package that it isn’t backwardcompatible to is ’07. But that’s easily bypassed as you can save your work as an ’03 version, which can be read by ’07.
Well tomorrow is the beginning of the new term. Should be interesting to see how my classes start out.
