CPU's Tested

Core i5 and Core i3 were all simulated using Core i7. Hyper Threading and active core count was configured in the BIOS. Turbo was disabled for all CPU configurations.

Test Methodology

Gaming performance will be measured by using FRAPS to record the frame rate and frame time. I will benchmark the game using "High" settings and "Very High" settings.

As with past games I have tested, Core i5 is superior to Core i3 when it comes to gaming. Despite the clock speed advantage, the Core i5 offers a smoother gaming experience compared to Core i3. Overclocking helps, too, as shown by the frame rates and frame times. Core i7 only has a minimal advantage over Core i5 in a clock-for-clock comparison.

An unlocked Intel quad-core CPU is strongly recommended for this game.​
