Help I7 2600k Overheating
This is really frustrating for me, I got i7 2600k not long ago with Asus P8P67 Pro Board.
I've heard a lot of good reviews about this from many different websites. Like how good the low voltage/temperature overclockability this one has, blah blah blah.
But the fact is that after putting it to merely 4.3 Ghz @ 1.27 v, the temperature goes to 72 C with Prime 95; and when I overclock it to 4.5 Ghz @ 1.32 v, the temperature goes to 78 c on Prime 95. I have a pretty decent cooler, Thermaltake Frio with fan speeds at medium; with a full tower Antec DF-85. I've tried reinstall HS&F on my MB and cleaned and reapplied Artic Silver 5, with no success.
Is it just me, or is the hype about Sandy Bridge Processors just not real?
