January Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy I Final Fantasy Ii
About this Blog:
Well, it's a New Year and a fresh start, and seeing as gaming is a long-time hobby of mine, I thought I'd keep track of the games I play this year, so I can look back at the end of the year and think...well..."damn, I played a lot of games".
I'll be publishing a post at the end of each month with a list of the games I played for that month, and a mini-review and rating (out of 5) for each. So, without further ado, here is this month's post! Enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Here are the games I played in January!
- Game: Chrono Trigger
Platform: DS
Review: One of my favorite RPGs and video games of all time, remastered on the DS. Reworked script, comfortable touch-screen controls, and lots of bonus material make this SNES masterpiece even better. A new endgame dungeon, boss, and ending do a better job of bridging the gap between Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (PSX).
Rating: 5/5
~~~~~~ - Game: Final Fantasy I
Platform: PSP
Review: This is where it all began! A fantastic remake of an NES classic. This was actually my first time playing the first Final Fantasy, so it was really neat to see where a lot of the things in the Final Fantasy series originated from. Although it was quite short and relatively easy, it was still good to experience the origin of the series I know and love today. Bonus dungeons can be overlooked, but are fun if you want to get more out of the game.
Rating: 3/5
~~~~~~ - Game: Final Fantasy II
Platform: PSP
Review: Only the second game in the series and Square had already come up with something totally new! Real characters, a solid story, and completely new gameplay mechanics made FFII a joy to play after FFI. Another gorgeous remake with overhauled graphics and sound. Plenty of new endgame content as well.
Rating: 3.25/5
