Newly Built Computer With Alot Of Problems Need Help

I bought all new parts for my new computer from newegg, and this is a list of what they are:

COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Computer Case

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 100259-1GL Video Card

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

G.SKILL 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory

Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive

ASUS Striker II Extreme LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor Model

{Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders - OEM}

While placing the motherboard into the case, I first noted the holes along the side for the keyboard and such were a little to high for the motherboard's holes. Placing in the graphics card, I also noticed it also did not seem to fit completely to the side of the case.
When it was all together, I turned on the computer and it beeped 1 long 3 short with no display on the monitor. I tried to move the graphics card into a different slot that was not for PCIe 2.0 because neither of the other PCI slots worked. I was then able to get the monitor working even though my graphics card is PCIe 2.0. I loaded vista on it, and then while trying to install drivers from the motherboard's CD, it turned itself off. It kept shuting down, so I took it all apart and put it together with the graphics card in the PCIe 2.0 slot and without the sound card from the motherboard in it. It was working completely fine, and then I put the sound card in and it when it started up it had an extremely long beep repeating. I shut it off from there and took out the audio card. It hasn't given me any picture on the monitor and does 1 long and 3 short beeps. Also, the graphics card is far less hot then before. When only the mobo and the cpu are in it runs without giving me the beeps, and once i place the ram in it beeps. I bought new graphics card, but I have the same results.
Please can anyone give me any advice for this calamity.
