Default Big Typhoon Temps...

I just just just installed my big typhoon about 5 minutes ago along with some arctic silver 5. My idle temp is 38C and load is 44C. Are these temps decent for a bt setup? It was a ***** to install but I got it in. I think I could have tightened the heatsink down a lil bit more,,,but it's on there good. I've heard about "curing" the AS 5. Should I leave my PC on for about 5 days straight so it can be cured? Any feedback u provide will be greatly appreciated....

PS: With my stock cooler idle temp was 45C and load was 55C. So far, I'm impressed with the difference in temperature.

Thanks again!!

I have the 3800X2 with a BT and my temps are a little better.

With the stock heatsink/fan, my temps were 34/45
I added the BT w/ as5 and my temps dropped to 32/42
I added the Silverstone fm121 fan to the BT and now I am at 26/38

yours seem a little warm (for a BT)......don't get me wrong, the temps are safe, but some other factors could affect things.......how much airflow do you have in your case??? What are the ambient room temps??

BTW, my vcore is 1.525

EDIT: If your Vcore is 1.6 then you are probably at about the right temps.....my friend had to go 1.6v to get 2.6ghz

Those temps are just fine, just keep them below 50c, also your temp might drop a couple of more C's once the as5 cures in about 200 hours.

Default PC on

Is it ok if I leave my PC on 24/7 during the cure process? By the way my vcore is at 1.5volts.

Are you overclocked. If not then maybe reinstall the heatsink and make sure you use a BB size of as5.

Can you drop your Vcore and remain stable? I bet if you were too fold on both cores at a 100% your temps would really get bad. My Big T is cooling an Opty at a low vcore so I cant really compare my temps with you but 55c is a bit high.
