Curing and arctic silver 5
hey guys,
__________________I just installed a big typhoon along with arctic silver 5. My question is in regards to the curing. Should I leave my pc on 24/7 while I cure it? Or should I shut it off at night. Someone told me to leave it on for the first week all the time. Thanks.

You don't have to leave it on 24/7 for a week. The hours add up as your computer is turned on so just using your computer regularly to cure AS5 is fine

The AS5 will cure after about 200 hours of normal use. That includes turning it off to let it cool down. I turn my PC off for at least a few hours a day after a fresh application of AS5, for the first few days. The funny thing about AS5 is that everyone develops their own opinion about how to use it over time, lol.

According to the people who make AS5, the computer needs to go through "several thermal cycles" to properly cure. So the PC needs to be on for 200 hours, but there needs to be periods within that 200 hours where the PC needs to be off, to allow the AS5 to heat and cool.

It will cure after 200 Hours you can make it cure faster by running intensive applications such as Prime95.
