Default Removing Stock Fan.

Well today I just notice that the stock cooler for my 4400+ has a 80mm fan on it.
So I was thinking hey why not put a different 80mm fan on there and see if my temps would be better.
But than my second thought was why not go ask the guys on overclock what they think.
SO here I am.

if you can find a 80mm fan that pushes more air than the one currently on it then it should help drop temps

putting a high CFM 80mm fan on would help. works the same for the big typhoon if you put a better fan on you get better temps

get one of these

Yes using a better 80mm fan will improve temps. It depends on the CFM rating of the fan though. The CFM rating simply means how much air it can push around. The higher the CFM the better . For a cpu cooler i would reccomend something in the region of 90CFM or higher. However as its 80mm the higher the CFM the louder it can get.

Having it suck away from the CPU may work better so give it ago. Adding another 80mm ontop of an 80mm will cause vibration issues and cooling issues,,,not reccomended.

My temps increased when I had it suck. Get a fan like a Vantec Tornado and a fan controller to slow it down when its not fully needed for under $20.
