Im really tempted to get this as my next cooler.

Im getting great temps at the moment 37°c-42° under load, so i don't know if i should get a better fan (this 92mm Aerocool fan pushes 25cfm if that) or go the full hog and get the cooler you have.

The latter would take a while as money's a bit tight.

I'd like to see a TT 120 vs BT vs Infinity vs NH-U12 next

Then we could see what really is the best cooler

LOL

You buy them, I'll test them If I buy anymore heatsinks right now the wife will kill me

I think the Tuniq Tower would beat all of them just due to it's size, much larger surface area, though I am sure the NH-U12 would give it a run for it's money with 2 fans.

The fan is propietary and part of the unit.....the only thing you could do is wrap a duct of some kind around the fins, but that still wouldn't do much as the fan blade is INSIDE the fins.......so, yes, lame airflow.

I totally agree there. Someone did change the fan though, i think it's a 92mm.

Sure, just cut out a 92 mm fan from it's mounting and glue it in place of the stock fan. What might work better would be to get a 120mm on either side of the 9500 after the stock fan was removed.

I find this hard to believe, given the success of the Zalman 9500 in beating the Big Typhoon in testing. I'd ask if you were sure you installed the Zalman 9500 correctly, but I'm sure you did so I'd have to say something else went awry with your 9500 setup... Also consider the fact that you are using a BTX-like setup, whereas all of the test results that I've seen are pure ATX setups. Don't know if that makes a difference in the results, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

DontMakeMeEatYou, why would you bother testing the TT120 with the TTBT? It's already a widely accepted fact that the TT120 posts better temperatures... Why retest just to prove something that is already known?
