I've been reading some horror stories about the weight of this beast and mobo's not being able to support the weight. I'm looking into purchasing it for a build. How true is this? Should I worry about it?

Somewhat, but if mounted right you should be fine. They wouldn't release it if it was seriously faulty

You shouldn't be worried. Most OCers that use air cooling go with the BT and out of the millions of BT stories iv heard, iv never heard one about breaking off because of weight, you should be fine

If your into LANs, carry the case on it's side for good measure. I've not had any issues with mine but it don't get moved much.

Make sure you use the insulator for the bottom "H" support if you chose to use it. For additional insulation, cutting up a pop bottle makes for a great insulator, place it between the foam and the MB.

Not to hijack here, but I think given its a purchase consideration thread, its ok. What about the BT VX? How does it compare mounting wise? It now has push-pin install but is it any good? I am considering which to get also. Thanks all.
