Hello all,
__________________First post from me here, and I am quite annoyed. I have Zalman CNPS9500 LED and ASUS P5B Deluxe Wifi. The problem is that I can't fix S-clip on the black holes of the holder. Does anybody had/have the same problem? Advice? Suggestions...

Are you pushing down hard enough?
It does take quite a bit of pressure to get the clip down in place. Also, follow the instructions of tightening the screws bit by bit rather than going all the way. That way it gives some slack on each side so it's easier to get them down. By the way, welcome to Overclock.net Feel free to fill out your System Specs in the UserCP.

I guess those are what they're called?....
Oh, or as I found in the manual, they're called "Fixing Bolts" or "Installation Bolts".

It's alright. But for a second there I thought I was going crazy.
Just a misunderstanding. ![]()

Hello again,
__________________Thanks for your replies and sorry for my late reply. I am attaching photos to define my problem more clearly. The S-clip is quite elevated from both edges as you can see in Figure1 figure. If I will try to fix it tightly via screws (somehow) then I am afraid that I will break something or a nice crack on motherboard. FIGURE1: http://img132.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp..._122_587lo.JPG FIGURE 2 and FIGURE 3is just to give an idea about distance between S-clip and the hole. FIGURE2: http://img44.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp0..._122_467lo.JPG FIGURE 3: http://img13.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp0..._122_588lo.JPG Do you think I should try to bend the S-clip so that the distance between S-clip and holes will be minimal?

Mine is exactly like that. But once you pressure it down slowly and in a stable fashion, it will even out and be right on top of the bracket.
Also, the clip is bent in that fashion so that when both sides are tightened, the hsf will have greater pressure on the CPU.

sorry for bumping this thread because the solution that was given by forum members in this thread worked. You just need to tighten the screws as said in the guide.
