haha, well, strangely enough, it worked MUCH better than that Nanotherm PCM+ I used Still, I can't help but wonder what I was doing wrong... I still have the bottle somewhere... it's weird cause it seperates into like blue chalk and what looks like fresh motor oil

Talking

Maybe you did it wrong....

your saposed to stir it not shake it , Mr Bond

You know when someone comes up with some catchy name it usually isnt that great
What is saposed to be in the stuff?
silver is the best thermal conductor that is usable...
unless you want to use diamond dust
and there is CuSIL a copper Silver alloy that conducts slightly better than silver alone

oh i know im going to make Arctic diamond

It's a phase-changing matieral, and as well all should know from phase-change units, when a substance undergoes a change of physical state, it involves a lot of energy. I'm still half-way thinking it was just a bad batch or somethin cause the instructions said it was supposed to change to a semi-solid waxy like cream when it was applied, and it never did... Another issue was that when I set the heatsink it squeezed virtually all the material out from in between the die and heatsink base I filed down the mounting tabs to raise the heatsink, but I think it happened when I mounted the heatsink (since it takes a bit of force to get all the latches down evenly).
