Default Scythe Infinity is confusing me

This is my first time installing a heatsink and i'm confused as hell with mounting the Scythe Infinity. Which brackets am I supposed to use? Which way does it go? The instructions that came with the HS and MOBO are just as confusing. A picture would help A LOT! This is going on a Conroe E6600 btw.

The processor itself doesn't help us directly in the diagnosis, the socket type does, which apparently is LGA775 (socket T) given the processor you said you have. That socket is oblong, so you should be able to tell using the bracket which holes on the bracket fit the one on the motherboard if you have to as a last resort, but generally the directions will tell you which holes to use. Now the order to put the thing together on is up to you to figure out most of the time, as long as the end results appears the same as it is supposed to. Often times you need 3 hands to install these coolers, specifically the larger one.

EDIT: I just looked at the directions, and I don't understand what's confusing you... This appears to be the push pin variety of brackets, making them the easiest to install. You jush push them through the holes around the CPU until they snap into place. Just make sure the HSF is on the CPU properly before you push them in or you'll have to redo the whole process. There is a white piece of the push pin that goes in first, and then the black piece you push in (and it should turn a little bit) until it locks into place. Think of it as an inner and outer assembly for the push pins if that helps.

Ok that helps a lot. I thought it was the push pin as well but wasn't 100% sure. Let's see if I can go get this on........

Edit: LOL! I didn't even notice the back side of the instructions. I knew it was the LGA775 socket but I didn't see that side on the instructions.
