If You Call That Lapped , You Need To Go Back To Lapping School Thats not even close to a mirror finish , LAPPING ISNT ROCKET SCIENCE , EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE THE UNCONTROLLABLE DESIRE TO OVERANALIZE LAPPING , CRACKS ME UP EVERYTIME ..... save yourself alot of time and aggrevation and $$$ {not to mention finger cuts} and buy a freezer pro for $20 lap it to a MIRROR finish , add a second rear fan , and a fan shroud around the front fan {total cost around $30 CMON

Default Microfiber pads...

I am going to start this whole procedure on my TBT. The finest grit I was able to get was the 600. I'll wear that sucker out as recommended, though. I want the mirror finish on both the HS and my x2 4800. I went to both the Home Depot and Lowe's. I found Microfiber cloths, but didn't find andy microfiber sanding pads. What the bejeezus do I look for? Brand names would help... Pics would be BETTER!!! Plz let me know. I'm new to this lapping, so as far as the microfiber pads go, I haven't the slightest about what I'm looking for... I have tried to look extensively, but was afraid to make a move, so I didn't buy the wrong thing...

Default Lapped Big Typhoon

I only had up to 600 grit sandpaper, and I wore the paper ALL the way down, but the results were pretty good:
