In auction it states that they're four pin. You ahve a picture of the connector??

And please.. DO NOT connect such powerful fans to the motherboard. The motherboard is simply not designed to pass on the current needed for those bad boys. They should get their own molex connectors for sure

Chop the connectors up and figure out which wire needs +12v. Then just hook it to a molex connector.

Get some pots and a fan controller, or go and buy a controller

Strange... what are the pinouts for those 5 wires? They are not PWM fans since that requires 4 wires so what are they?

Default Lol

If you look closely you can see only 4 wires are running from this hence its only a 4 pin head but has an additional opening. Why? idk

Holy Moses! I am glad that I saw your post.

How does one determine if a fan is going to brick the Mobo? I found a couple of Sunon's that I was gonna experiment with. Now I am afraid cause I don't wanna fry my Mobo, and they are deep fans and rather heavy (I equate that to a large armature = more spinning )

Sorry, not trying to jack the thread.

In regards to the ebay fans, how would he use them? would a seperate PSU running the fans be okay?
