is this worth the $28?

Im looking to replace my arctic 64 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186010 ) with this one since im upgrading to a opty 165 and plan to OC it to 2.8 or higher

You may want to consider something beefier for an FX CPU. The AC Freezer 64 Pro would be good, as well as the Scythe Ninja for a bit more.

oh, i sold my fx and im about to buy a opty 165. didnt know there would be much of a diff in temps if i OC the opty to 2.8+

Either way, the Opty is dual core, so you might want a bit bigger cooler. For $30 I bet the Freezer 64 Pro is the best you can find new. Used you might be able to get a Big Typhoon or Zalman CNPS9500.
