I got four of these guys to cool my ballistics that I have now. Installed all four of them and they work great. Far better then the really thin bad stock balllitic coolers and it covers up the annoying lights on the top of the tracers which is a bonus.

Verygood stuff, I dont have any hard numbers but with four sticks and my 120mm fan blowing on them they got pretty toasty even at 2.15v. Now with the same volts and loaded they are only slightly warm to the touch. I still have the 120mm fan blowing on them which I have to since I dont have the cpu cooler fan.

Recommend this to anyone running four sticks that plans on getting there stuff hot or dont want the build up of heat between each pair that seems to happen.

Post a pic!

I want to see what four of these babies look like once installed.

Thought I'd post some more pics that I took for a guy at Xtreme systems yesterday ...

He was concerned about the mounting pressure as concerns the heatspreaders contact with the memory IC's ... he'd read some bad comments regarding this and use of the HR-07's ...

Here's some close ups showing the firm pressure that the 4 allen screw lock downs provide.

In the first photo, if you look real close at the right side ... you'll see that the thermal pad is actually slightly indented where the IC's press into it. Great mounting ...

...

...

...

...

The guy at Xtremesystems, was referencing in particular his concern regarding this particular reviewers problems with getting the HR-07's to mount securely on the memory:

http://www.bigbruin.com/2007/hr07_3

...

@Transonic ... if you read this ... did you experience similar mounting issues with your HR-07's?

All installed

Bad dark time shot. Still got the annoying red mobo light but with these on the ram only has the blue bottom lights showing and it goes well with the NB light.

FYI ... if your OCD about things lining up ... you can easily (but gently) bend the heat pipes to get things more visually symmetrical ...

After installing, I noticed I had slightly bent some of the heatpipes and so just gently bent them back into being even.

Man ... I bet those things work beautifully with that 120mm fan!

I saw a near 15 degree drop over stock ... but with the fan ... it's gotta be even better....

nice review, if you could measure them with temp probes too

I almost bought a thermaltake probe to sandwich in the spreaders ... but since I had a clean shot of the IC's with my infrared ... I just decided to save the money and shoot the IC's directly with the infrared thermometer ...

If I buy a probe later, I'll post another temp test ...

Thanks for the word ...

Yeah they are actually lined up fine for me, I twisted them a bit to get them seperated from each other as much as possible but still be getting the most air flow.

I will try and find my laser thermometer and see if I can get some readings but they dont ven feel hot, just slightly warm compared to room temp. When I get a fan controller with temp sensors plug ins on it I am going to put a couple of sensors on there so I can see what temps they get at different voltages and oc's. That wont be for a little bit though.

Could I put an OCZ XTC Memory Heatsink on top of my Ram even though I have an eVGA e-GeForce 7900GTX on an Asus P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP Motherboard?

By the way amazing review, and, I bet you could make the fins go horizontally instead of vertically to find an OCZ XTC Heatsink over it.

@phospholipid

Just thought I'd mention that this weekend I'm going to get a thermal probe and I hope to redo the reveiw ...

I don't think the accuracy will be that much improved, but since many here and at Xtremesystems requested a probe test ... I'll go ahead and do one ...
