I read in another thread on that forum that the s775 bracket without the washer is the revised one, so no reason to panic if it's missing.

Mine doesn't have 1, but I also was missing a part for AMD socket, fortunately I did not needed that. But indeed this thing rocks

I am using one without the washer right now, idle 38C, load 52C. I should try a washer to see if I can get any improvement. I had noticed that it seemed a little loose.
