Default Can any confirm my E6600 temp?
Hello,

I overclock my E6600 to 3Ghz, check my temp on bios show 65 degree but I use 3 programs on window shows almost the same load temperature when loading orthos. Can someone confirm the temperature shows on these 3 programs are my actual temp and not the temp show on the board bios. Thanks

CoreTemp and TAT is show your real temp.

Is this IDLE temp I'm seeing? If so, that's waaaaaaaaaayyyy too high. You may have mounted your heat sink wrong. How much vcore are you giving it through BIOs?

EDIT: Never mind. I see those are load temps. It seems like you're fine. How much vcore are you giving it though?

Thats actually "good" for load temps. But CPU temps depend on Ambient temps (your room temp.) Having 54c in a -30c room is not exactly optimal.

Hi all thanks for the replies, this is 100% load temp, vcore is 1.2875v . My ambient is around 31 degree cos living in singapore. Still testing on orthos..

I've got the same EVGA board and CPU and I get the same results as you. The cores are about 7-10°C below the CPU temp. I always assumed CPU temp was the sensor located between the cores, while the core 0/1 were the sensors in each core reading the actual temps.

Is 1.2875v, still testing.. been running orthos for 45 mins now hope it can be stable at that vcore.
