Default Should I lap my stock cooler?

The stock one that came with my proc? Should I lap it? Should I lap my proc?

Dose lapping your processor void the warranty?

do yourself a favor and just buy a new HSF, then lap it.

pretty sure lapping voids the warranty

You work for easypckits? Cool, so dose it void the processors warranty or not? If it dose then I dunno.

Yes, it voids your warranty. The likelihood of your processor going out is VERY slim unless you purposefully pump too many volts through it. I have personally never heard of someone's processor going out unless it was like 8 or 9 years after they bough it....and if you still are worried about that, then you are a cheapskate, lol

Work for them? I OWN Easypckits, and am also the chief cook and dishwasher as well. :-)

Lapping will definitely void your warranty for your CPU. The sink might depend on who you bought it from and how picky they are. I recommend that people lap their sinks and that's what I sell the kits to do - and frankly, that's generally where 75-80% of potential improvement comes from.

But... lapping your CPU WILL provide dividends if performed carefully. As with any reward, there is some measure of risk involved.

Well the heatsink is the stock one for all AMD processors, and I am not going to lap the processor because I have $60 to my name and if it breaks no way I can get a new one.

Also, why so much for shipping? $6.00 to mail some sand paper and a peace of glass!? Is it UPS or FedEx?

EDIT:I have a table with a glass top can I use the table?

Dude, 6 dollars for that many grits of sand paper shipped is VERY cheap...along with glass. Try going to Home Depot and finding all of that for under like 20 bucks lol....plus, they give you some free zip ties
