I have AC F7 Pro and i get 35-40 Idle and 45-50 fll load on a 3Ghz q6600 BS stepping.
__________________I a looking for better cooling.... And people have recommended the Zalman 9700... Is that actually better than the AC F7 Pro because i don't think it is tbh... Also, can anyone point me to a better CPU cooler which won't require lapping to be better.... Rock on

The Zalman 9700 is a bit better but I don't think by that much. Go with a Tuniq Tower 120 or Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme. They are much better.

I have heard that the Ultra 120 Extreme usuually needs lapping because of its curved base... And to be honest i don't want to put the tuniq in my case..... i just don't like it lol... too huge and too heavy....

Have to agree, the zalman really wont be that much better. Unfortunatly the towers are the best coolers

I think i will stay with the AC7 for now.... My temps are great though... Its just i beleive that the cooler something is, the better it operates..... 45-50 full load is good for a Q6600 B3 @ 3Ghz i think isn't it.
__________________Liquid for only the CPU may be an option for me.... But if i coulod see a significant drop with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme i would get that....

I have the zalman 9700 and the Thermalright ultra 120 extreme (and have built systems with the AC7). This difference in temps is signifigant on high overclocks (close to 10C). Seeing as the highest you will get with that board and chip is 3.3 Ghz (FSB wall on the board), The zalman will knock about 5C off load temps against the AC7.

What difference will the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme make... I am seriously considering one as a future upgrade....

I had the Zalman and as long as you have good case air flow, you will be ok... but it will choke at high overclocks. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for an air cooler.
