i would like to know the best socket 478 heatsink, that's relatively quiet and under 35$. difficulty: its for a dell case, so nothing tall. not for over clocking, general use with mild gaming. its for a buddy thanks for the help!

Hello, Due to Dells proprietary design you will be limited in your choices. I did however use this on a Dell system I had in the past. There is an adapter available for it, but I'm having a hard time finding it right now. I'll keep looking. EDIT> Found one here. Nope not it, sry That is an OEM replacement.Still looking

Wow my head hurts now, but I found it. Link With that bracket you can use any skt478 compatible cooler you want.
The hardest of the process is getting the OEM bracket out.
