Ok my PC now was running 2.3ghz for like 2 years now, no problems and I had no complaints. Now I went to 2.5ghz because Insurgency doesnt run so smooth, I bet the 8800GTS that comes today will fix that. I swear now at 2.5ghz my PC cooks my room. After about 1-2 hours cs I am almost swetting in my room and I have our air conditioning set pretty low. Is this normal, an OC really makes that much of a difference?
When I build my C2D in a couple weeks I was thinking of getting an e6750 and Ocing it to 3.8+, even contiplating WC to help with this. But now Im thinking if its seriously going to cook my room maybe Ill leave it at 3.0 or 3.2 So should I just get a 6550 or some cheaper CPU like that? Would they run just ask cool as a 6750 at the same clocks? Wasn’t sure if more fsb lower multi meant more heat or not.

My PC cancels out my air conditioner so I basically have no air conditioning this summer..

I don't know what GPU you had before. But if you had like a 7900GT/X1900 or something you won't see much of a difference

Jackz5o, do you remember about two weeks ago when me and jph1589 completely schooled you about underestimating processors...lets try to remember this day! (this is the thread) Quote:

the difference is in your ambients and the weather, its summer, and its hot

how do you measure that? per hour, per min, I wonder if it converts to jewels or something so I can actually figure it out how much difference it makes.
