Go get a crappy fan first and try it on that.... It can effect the way the blades have been shaped and also can get into the motor...

hey guys, make sure there is no dust at all on the fan, clean it with some sort of solution, if you spray paint over dust your paint might flake off and be blown somewhere very bad
