Default Different temps for different cores (Q6600)

So I just plopped on my lapped TT120 and temps have dropped significantly on certain cores.

I went from idling at 48C, load 62C to

Idle
Core 0: 40
Core 1: 40
Core 2: 34
Core 3: 38

Load
Core 0: 56
Core 1: 56
Core 2: 45
Core 3: 46

As you can see, cores 2 and 3 have the best temp drop. When I had the stock HSF the temps were all equal (for the most part).

Are my temps not matching because of my pasting job? I used Arctic Silver Ceramique.

I am going to buy some AS5 today at MicroCenter, I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Thanks!

Use core temp, it is much more accutate that speed fan:
http://www.overclock.net/downloads/1...er-0-95-a.html

the cores vary a bit, so you should be fine.

Is the TT120 fully seated and firmly screwed in?

That much of a variation might be a problem, sometimes cores will vary by a few degrees, but that is a little extreme.
