Default Where to put my case...?

Idling right now, my CPU is at 45C, load it might go over 50C. I really do think its the placement of the case that's causing this heat. Here are some pics:

I hope you guys get the point i'm trying to get across in the pics

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/1229/46117094tu8.jpg

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/7346/61976967sy9.jpg

http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3294/24354714kn9.jpg

So, do you think if I take the case and put it on my desk, (beside my printer) I will get better temps? It is MUCH cooler on the desk than under the desk. When I go under the desk I feel like i'm in the desert And the exhaust fans are pointing directly into walls. So, I'm thinking the heat is bouncing off the walls and being intaked again.

Is it worth the hassle? And will I see a drop in temps?

Thanks.

Why not try it out?

I'd put it on the table. Why? Heat raises up. So, leaving the rig under the table, the bottom of the table would trap the hot air from directly going up, forcing it to go another route to go upward.

But, putting it on your table, the heat can freely travel directly toward the ceiling and have no table top blocking the air path.

Think alot has to do with case and fans but try putting it on top or by an air vent.

Sub-par?

I have 1 120 mm intake, 4 80 mm exhaust, 2 80 mm fans on my PCI fan card, and a 92 mm fan on my CNPS9500

Do i seriously need more? >_>

And TaiDinh, you have a good point there, never really though about that. I'll do it after this download is done, but I think my desk will be really cramped
