Question Time for a new HSF and other cooling odds and ends.

Right now, my AMD Sempron 3100+ (Palermo core) is running about 59C idle in my hot room (63C full load), with a stock HSF and generic, factory white thermal compound. I have 2 system fans, one rear and one on the side.

I'm gonna buy a GFX card (finally), and i'm afraid that its gonna be wayy too hot to have everything going full load. PNY GeForce 6800; PCI-e.
I'm gonna buy a pci slot exaust fan to go right next to the GFX card to try to get the hot air out, and i'd like to get a cooler HSF for my CPU.

Oh, and i'm on a budget.

What is your budget for a HSF?

Because $50 can get you some of the best (Tuniq Tower, BT, etc.)

That is pretty hot you should first get some artic silver and remount that thing. Best HSF I can think for yours is the Artic Pro 64 if it will fit the 754. Not many good coolers out there. If I was you I would get the AS5 remount to try to get temps lower at least under 40c idle/55-60c load. Spend a couple extra dollars you saved and get a 7600GT 256 MB card way better and not to much more.

My budget for a HSF is about 15-25 bucks. I was just thinking... yesterday it was real hot outside... about 85F. right now its about 75F out and my cpu is at 54C after playing Raven shield.

Is this a good HSF?

For 25 I doubt you will get a cooler that is much better than what you have stock.

Oh and Raven Shield FTW! (Although the earlier RS games were better)

my stock HSF doesn't cool for anything, i thought that anything would be better, but i'll try putting some arctic silver on it and see where i stand... Does anyone know about some good PCI exaust fans under like 15 bucks?
